Reactivation

Article 8-Union Dues and Assessments

As per 8.05 in our Collective Agreement, By April 1, the board will post a reactivation package to the Elementary Occasional Teacher First Class Conference.  Occasional Teachers MUST complete and return the package to the Board by April 30 in order to be eligible to remain on the list for the following year.

Any Occasional Teachers hired after April 30 and before June 30 must complete the reactivation package within 30 calendar days of being hired or by June 30, whichever comes first.

As per 8.06 in our Collective Agreement, the Board will notify the President of the Local of any additions to or deletions from the list on a monthly basis.

 

NOTE: If  AMDSB does not receive a response by the deadline date of April 30, 2013, you will be terminated as an occasional teacher. It is your responsibility to pay your annual registration fee to the Ontario College of Teachers. Failure to maintain membership in the Ontario College of Teachers will jeopardize your employment situation.

*It is the responsibility of the Occasional Teacher to check the Elementary OT Icon on First Class frequently to ensure they are up to date on important information.
